Health and Medicine

A large subsection of Zed Book’s Development Studies list, the Health and Medicine list focuses on the links between global development, capitalism and the health of populations across the globe.

The Health and Medicine list at Zed Books is a globally renowned critical health and medicine list. The books in this list challenge the structures, international regimes and political decisions that lead to global health inequality and a lack of access to basic healthcare. It covers themes from epidemiology, global health politics, gender and health, poverty and health, the World Health Organisation (WHO), inequality in health care systems, sustainable development goals, alternative global health care programs, climate change and its impacts on health and health care.
